About Leslie
Leslie Barroso, LMSW
Clinical Social Worker
I have a Bachelor of Science from Eastern Michigan University, and a Masters of Social Work from the University of Michigan. I love to work with adults who are ready for a positive shift in their thinking, and emotional understanding. I am committed to helping identify areas that are problematic and to utilize individual strengths to achieve self-efficacy, satisfaction, and happiness in life. I approach each client with a loving and spiritual acceptance of where they are at now, then together we assess what changes are desired.
I often include aspects of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectic Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Narrative therapy, to find the most effective way to facilitate change. If your goals include improving relationships, getting along better in the world, relief from depression or anxiety, substance use problems, and improved quality of life, I want to work with you to achieve those goals. Together we can find healthier ways to manage.
