In today’s society we are constantly reminded that we need to take care of our health and physical well-being in order to have a good quality of life.  Equally as important for quality of life is our mental and emotional health.  Often, we are not aware of the status of our mental health until we are in a crisis.  Staying aware of your own needs and feelings, will help prevent a crisis.  Many people feel that the strong thing to do is to hold your feelings in, push them down.  But just like physical health, you cannot ignore your mental health for long; those feelings have a way for getting out no matter how strong we think we are.  Simply learning to name our feelings and evaluating them can help to keep us mental healthy.  Check back soon for more tips on mental health awareness.
